Four things, mostly.

Padel court construction costs vary widely across the UK, industry estimates typically put a single court in the tens of thousands of pounds, and site conditions can move that number significantly either way. Here’s what a quote is actually pricing.

Base & foundation

Groundworks and a level, drained base, the single biggest driver of cost and the hardest to estimate without seeing the site.

Structure & glass

The steel frame, tempered glass panels and mesh fencing that make up the enclosed court.

Surface & lighting

Artificial turf, line marking and floodlighting for evening and all-weather play.

Planning & design

Site survey, planning application and design fees before construction even starts.

So what does a padel court actually cost?

Industry estimates for a single UK padel court typically range from the tens of thousands of pounds upward, depending on ground conditions, site access and specification. It varies enough site to site that a genuine figure needs a proper survey, not a guess from a webpage.

Do I have to pay any of that as a Padel At The Pub partner?

No. We fund the survey, planning, construction and technology. You provide the site, we invest in what goes on it, and you earn rental income from the courts instead of paying for them.

Is there a catch, some hidden cost to the pub owner?

No. The model is built so the financial risk of construction sits with us, not you. We’ll walk you through exactly what’s involved for your specific venue during an enquiry.

What if I just want to build a court myself, without a partnership?

That’s a real option for some pubs, but it means carrying the planning risk, the build cost and the ongoing running of the courts yourself. The partnership exists for pub owners who’d rather have the upside without taking on that risk.
